God's Ultimate Gift, Forgiveness By Evangelist Marty Jo

God the Father wants to have a people that love Him and will be His family. If you look through the Bible, many times you will see that this is His goal. There has never been a sacrifice that would compare to the sacrifice that our God gave to us, His Son Jesus Christ. What it took for Him to see His Son beaten, abused, and killed, we can’t even comprehend the feelings that He must have had, as He watched.

John 3:16-18 (NASB)

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. 18 The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Jesus became our atonement; God our Father does not see our sins, from beginning to end our sin has been bought and covered with the blood of Jesus. This does not give us the right to sin, but when Jesus is in our lives, we are more aware of our sins, and this is what stops us from sinning as we used to. We can then get into alignment with our Savior to enjoy our life in Christ.

Romans 8:1-4 (NASB)

Therefore, there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk]according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Will there be high times and low times? Absolutely because we are being trained to work here on Earth, in Heaven, and anywhere that God has for us to go. To stop being controlled by our flesh and start being controlled by our spirit.

Psalm 32:8 (NASB)

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will advise you with My eye upon you.

I ask the Lord every day for my spirit to take over my flesh and it works. (Matthew 26:41, Keep watching and praying so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” ) What this does for us is it makes God entirely in control instead of giving ourselves over to the devil's evil plans. The flesh is of the earth, our spirit was made in Heaven.

Our ultimate Gift is Jesus, the forgiver of sin. He is our Ultimate Gift because He loves us so much that He gave His life for us, to pay a debt, we would never have been able to pay. How hard should it be that we ask Him in our lives to forgive us of our sins? When you do this the whole world opens up to you. You know that God is our creator, and life starts to come into focus as to what is important within our lives.

Our focus is to be loving, to our family, to God’s family, and above all to our Heavenly Father, our creator, who always needs to be first in our lives.

Matthew 22:36-40 (NASB)

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets.”

As it says in scripture love covers a multitude of sins, so the more we love one another the more sins will leave us, because of us not loving one another this causes us to sin. Love will also bring forgiveness into our hearts and our very being will want to forgive others.

1 Peter 4:8 (NASB)

8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

The more we walk with Christ and do the Father’s will we understand the power of love. There is nothing more precious than to have a loving and wonderful relationship with our Father in Heaven.

Forgiving others will help you to have a more productive life because when hate goes away and you turn it into love your life becomes more meaningful. To do the work that God has called you to do and through it all you will see His love for us.

Matthew 6:14 (NASB)

14 For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.
